At Nisargopachar Kendra, we have a team of professionally qualified and trained naturopaths with adequate experience in traditional Naturopathy. Each Naturopath doctor is given a thorough orientation and training at the center when appointed. Our naturopaths have hands-on experience in administering traditional Naturopathy treatment modalities such as, cleansing and detoxification treatments, various types of fasts and cleansing diet, stress management tools, Asana, Pranayama and yogic relaxation techniques, gym and physical exercises, acupressure, acupuncture, etc.
Dr Bharat Shah completed his postgraduate studies in Pediatrics from Baroda Medical college. Then he worked as a pediatrician at KGP children hospital, Vadodara and subsequently at SEWA Rural, Jhagadia for about 5 years. Apart from routine hospital work, he was also involved in developing and executing community based health program that successfully reduced Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in project area villages around Jhagadia.
Although his basic area of work was pediatrics and community health, he gradually found alternate systems of health care increasingly interesting. Consequentially, he completed his Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy and Yoga (ADNY) from Panjab University, Chandigarh and obtained training as a yoga teacher. His interest in the field of mind and emotion also inspired him to complete a postgraduate diploma course in Clinical Hypnosis from CHARUSAT University, Changa, Gujarat. His deep interest in health awareness and education led him to publish educative booklets on various diseases and healthy lifestyle. He has also translated a book on medicinal plants that was originally published by World health Organization titled as “The Use of Traditional Medicine in Primary Health Care”.
At present, he is working as Director, Nisargopachar Kendra at Vinoba Ashram, Gotri, Vadodara. He is also a member of advisory committee of Janakidevi Bajaj Nature Cure Centre managed by Gujarat Vidhyapith, Ahmedabad. He has served as a member of managing committee of Shri Morarjee Desai College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Karelibaug, Vadodara and also as a member of the governing council of “Foundation for Revitalization of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT), a Bengaluru based organization that has been recognized as “A National Centre of Excellence in Medicinal Plants” by the Government of India. He has been nominated as member of Governing Body of National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune as well as a member of Naturopathy Certification Board and the Steering Committee of NCB by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India.
Dr. Sumegh has done BNYS from Mahavir College of Naturopathy and Yoga, Raipur in 2009. Sumegh has worked at various nature cure centers in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune.
Dr. Ritu has done BNYS from Morarji Desai Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Vadodara. She has also received training in Sujok Therapy from International Sujok Association. She is a compassionate and a hardworking doctor interested in Holistic Health Management.
Meera completed her Bachelor in Physiotherapy from M.S. University, Vadodara and subsequently Masters in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru in 2015. She has also received training for Yoga Certification Course from Yog Niketan, Vadodara. She is a dedicated and compassionate therapist.
Dr. Pooja graduated as a dental surgeon in 2004 from Manubhai Patel Dental College, Vadodara. Her interest in understanding the human mind led her to do Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis from Charusat University in 2018, under the eminent guidance of Dr. B M Palan. She likes to describe her work as “recreate smiles as a dentist and try to be a reason for people to smile as a hypnotherapist.” She loves her job and strongly believes that, “life is beautiful, we just need to shift towards a more positive attitude."
Dr.Jatin Patel has done his M.A (Psychology) and completed Ph. D from the Department of Psychology, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. He has worked on important research projects with various reputed organizations like UNICEF and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). He has a very good experience of providing psychotherapy and counseling to students, adults, couples, corporate employees, senior citizens and people coming from various sections of society for various issues related to mental health.
Madhvi has completed her graduation at ‘Lokbharati’, Sanosara, an academic institution with education based on Gandhian philosophy. She therefore brings to the Center a rich culture and Gandhian values. Her presence is caring and soothing for health-seekers and motivating for the staff. She looks after the administration of the organization.
Mr. Kapil Shah, apart from providing guidance to the organisation, also helps in providing organic food to the Centre through his organization ’Jatan’, which has been working for the promotion of organic farming since 1992. He is one of the pioneers of the organic farming movement at the state as well as the national level. He has visited various countries for the same purpose.
